Derrick Feener is the Founder and Director of Fen‑Tech Industries, bringing more than 35 years of hands‑on experience, engineering expertise, and industry leadership to the polybag machinery sector. His career began in the early 1980s as an equipment installer and service technician, where a decade of field work gave him an unmatched understanding of machinery performance, customer needs, and the recurring challenges manufacturers faced on the production floor.
In 1991, drawing on his electrical engineering background and deep technical insight, Derrick launched his first machinery company. He designed and built a new generation of equipment that directly addressed the problems he had seen in the field—developing the electronics, controls, and software himself. His machines quickly earned a reputation for reliability, innovation, and practical engineering.
After many successful years, Derrick sold the company and joined Roan Industries, working in their Engineering Department. When Roan closed three years later, he once again saw an opportunity to innovate and serve the industry he knew so well.
In 2009, Derrick founded Fen‑Tech Industries, where he continues to lead product development, engineering, and customer-focused solutions. Under his direction, Fen‑Tech has grown into a trusted manufacturer with a complete line of Wicketers, Flatbeds, Unwinds, and a wide range of attachments designed to meet the evolving needs of polybag producers across North America.
Beyond its core product line, Fen‑Tech is known for its ability to design and build custom machinery solutions. Nelson Silveira serves as the Production & Parts Manager at Fen-Tech Industries, bringing over 30 years of experience in the plastics and manufacturing industry, including 15 dedicated years with Fen-Tech. Throughout his career, Nelson has built a strong reputation for technical excellence, problem-solving and leadership.

With more than a decade spent in the service department and a background as an Electrical Technician, Nelson possesses a deep understanding of machine systems, troubleshooting, and customer support. His hands-on technical knowledge allows him to bridge the gap between service, production, and parts operations- ensuring seamless communication and efficient workflow.

In his current role, Nelson oversees production planning, parts coordination, and process optimization, helping ensure projects are completed to the highest quality standards. His commitment to continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction playing a key role in delivering reliable, high-performance solutions for Fen-Tech clients.
